Gitzo GT2531LVL Series 2 Carbon Fiber Leveling Tripod

Not many people know about this tripod but I’ve been singing it’s praises for years! The built in level lets you make simple and critical +/-15 degres adjustments without the need to adjust your leg length in the field. It’s also the perfect height for my 6’ self.

Gitzo GIGT1545T Traveler Series 1 Carbon Fiber Tripod

I’ve been a big fan of the Gitzo Traveler Tripods and the newly revamped series 1 1545T is my small 2nd tripod. At 2.3lbs, this tripod is always with me. It can now get as high as 60” and still collapse as compact at 16.7”. Smooth, solid, and built to last.

Profoto Acute B2 + head + Magnum Reflector & Grid

When I want 600 Ws of power, and a really gorgeous, controllable light, I pack this monster. When I got it, it was revolutionary in its small-ness. Nowadays, it is not as small as battery-powered flashes can be, but I still love it for architectural and portrait lighting at night.

Gitzo GT3541XLS Systematic 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs

Lightweight but more than sturdy enough to support anything I own. Note that it doesn’t have a center post; I never use one anyway, as extending a center post even a few inches wreaks havoc on stability.

Light & Motion Urban 650 LED Bike Light (Black Nitro)

This is a bike light normally used on handlebars, but lives perfectly on my tripod leg. At 650 lumens, it provides an amazing, always-ready focusing light that leave my hands free to lock focus and compose.
